Who we are

I am the son of Jeff and Lillian Meyers.  My father, Jeff, was a F-15 flight mechanic in the Airforce.  My mother stayed home with me and my brother and sister.  My mother attended school at night and obtained a master’s degree in education.  She went on to be a teacher as me and my siblings entered our teenage years.

My parents instilled the values of hard work and education in me.  I attended Florida State University where I studied Philosophy and Religion.  After graduating, I worked as a discrimination investigator at the Florida Commission on Human Relations for three years.  I was encouraged by the staff attorneys at FCHR to attend law school.

I attended law school at Stetson University in Gulfport, located near St. Petersburg in the Tampa Bay area.  After graduating, I began working as an attorney in Civil Litigation in the area of personal injury, insurance disputes, property damage, and breach of contract claims.  My practice consisted mostly of representing large corporations.  In March 2024, I left the big firm practice to establish a practice in the community to assist small business owners and individuals with their legal needs.

I have tried several cases to verdict.  I pride myself on my courtroom experience because it educates and informs the advice that I give to my clients.  I take the time to educate my clients on the litigation process and what could happen with the understanding that I am capable and willing to go to trial to see their case through.  This is important when negotiating a result because the other side knows that you are represented by an attorney that will take the case to trial and thus is more likely to give you full value during negotiations and potentially avoiding the costs of litigation.

When I am not practicing law, I am with my wife and two children or on the tennis court.
